A subcontractor agreement is used when hiring someone to perform part of a contractor's scope of work. Since the master contractor is in direct contract with the owner, the terms of the subcontractor agreement are important for legal and reputation reasons. This Subcontractor Agreement ("Agreement") is for contractors, such as solar, wind, and other installers/integrators, to use as a master agreement when hiring subcontractors. The Agreement is robust in that it covers the wide range of risks and liabilities that arise for licensed contractors. The scope of work, specifications, drawings, project price, work schedule and insurance requirements are included as exhibits to the Agreement so that they can be modified on a project-by-project basis.
