Residential Solar System Equipment Lease Agreement (CA)
This Residential Solar System Equipment Lease Agreement (CA) is for a solar leasing company that will own a homeowner’s solar system and arrange for the solar system’s installation. This Agreement is designed for use in California and includes important California specific disclosures. A solar lease is a financing option for residential solar panels where the homeowner leases panels from a solar company. In a lease, the homeowner pays to rent the solar power system for some amount less than if the homeowner were paying for electricity from their utility. A prepaid solar lease is very similar to purchasing a solar panel system. In a pre-paid solar lease a homeowner pays all of the lease payments up front when the homeowner signs the contract, and does not have to pay anything for the duration of the agreement. In a prepaid lease, the lease amount will be similar to the purchase price of the system. This Residential Solar System Lease Agreement is designed for companies that work with a network of third-party installation partners or financiers and can be modified to be a pre-paid solar lease, if desired.
